"Demo '99"


Marvelous! Marvelous! This hard core rap band from Melacca brings you a very tight and profesional performance! Some times I really think that Malaysian bands are alot more better than the overseas bands if not the same.

With Roy on vocals, ALvin on guitar and backup vox, Yew CHuen on bass and Aaron on the drums...the band really shows that seriousness and hard working will get its reward.

Giving you a demo with crysta lclear recordings and some interesting songs such as "FUck OAG" and "Motala's Pride" which sounds like Tupak Shakur, I really think you should get their stuff especially to all you HArd COre/Rap hooligans!

"Fried Eggs"

This is a really great piece of Grunge! A must have for all you Grunge hooligans! No joke. Especially for those who loves Nirvana unreleased with a mixture of Butterfingers.
Coming all the way from the East side, this three piece band does makes the Terengganu scene live and kicking! One of the best things that I like about the Overripe is they all share the mikes giving a truly grunge vocals. And when I mean grunge vocals means they all have a dry rough voice singing! They are Zul on guitars and vox, Nizam on bass and vox and Azlie on drums and vox. Haha…semua menyanyi! There are six grunge songs all together. Nice alternatively melodical noisy grunge. Recorded at Home Studio some where in March, 1999.
What else can I say? Get a copy! Kerteh scene is shining with grunge bands.

"Good Daze"

Yup! It's them again! And this time with a new incrediblely higly advanced materials then the first demo. How come? I'll tell you.
Still going with their Mellow Grunge, but with melodical sofisticated chords combined giving you the angst and the spirit of real grunge! I don't know…they're really cool.
Giving you the daze you need while listening, Nizam fronts the band, Boy plunging the bass chords and Za8 (Zaid?) on the drums. Giving a fast energetic play offs, this band does makes you want to move! With five well recorded songs and a great cover design…there's no excuse not to get it.

SHATTERED DREAMS
"Finally what you've all been asking for"

Aahh…a creative melodically alternatively metal with a touch of grunge…the songs are so good. Filled with fantasies and highness. Giving the mood of darkness and spending some time in another world. It's true…that's what you'll feel when you listen to this well recorded demo tape.
I think this five piece band is from the P.J scene. Singing with the raw moderate rock voice is James, Burn on the bass, East on drums, Nelson leading the guitars and Safuan on the rythms. With six songs all together, they rreally give you the confidence that they can do more music out of their creativity.

Grunge! Grunge! Grunge! Long live grunge! Grunge voice, grunge music, and most of all the grunge atmostphere… listening to the Private Whizz does give you the wizz. It's some thing to do with their music's sound. Melodic and some touch of Silverchair.
This four piece grunge band does sounds like Racy in a way. Ijat takes the mike and guitar, E'joo on guitar and vox, Midi on bass and Mie on drums. The recording is clean and clear. Very clear like the ones in the shops.
Mann…this is truly a grunge band. Go and layan your self with this high quality demo tape.

Coming from the Chaos KP scene, Spirakel is definatenly keeping the Punk Rawk music alive. Playing with some melodical tunes, they use their songs to put some political awareness like the songs "Reformation" and "Kosovo".
The punks are Tomen on the mikes, Are- Peace on the lead guitar, Armril on the 2nd guitar, Kenox the man on the drums and Nuhairi on the bass. Simple chords but a unity and catchy lyrics. This is the final soho, underground kids! Six punk shouts music. Lagu Kosovo macam lagu marching song. March! March! March! Cool!

"1998 Seremban UG Scene Compilation"

Huarrgghh!!! Get all the 'core' and metal you can get here! Real underground bands growling their throats out. The Negeri's scene is really a strong scene with the unity to produce this great compilation. Kecil-kecil cili api.
Bands involed are Engage In Combat, Reign, Carnage, Pointless Judgement, Fuckchop, and Mental Phobia. All from the Negeri's scene. Each band contributes two songs. A triple salute to the people behind this effort.
You know what? I think each state should get their bands together and make a compiltion project. Right now we have two; one is this great piece and the other is if you remember…Kopi Sechewen from Ipoh, Perak. We need more!!!

Seeing them play live does bring the Seatle mood around. Just wished there were more grunge bands playing with them. Never the less, the Collar's 2nd demo is a really mature alternatively modern rock with some touch of Grungeness. With the vocals like Vedder, they are far off better than the DeadMushrooms.
Recorded live at a friend's house, the sound is a professional sound. Playing the role of the front man is Saiful Ridzuan, Muhammad leading the guitars, Nik Justin on bass and Faizal staying cool with the drums. There's five great songs all together.
Making the P.J scene some difference, the Seven Collar T-Shirts is a must have for all you grunge goings civillian.
